We've been planning - or trying to plan - a trip to Ireland to record with Julie McLarnon on her Analogue Catalogue farm studio. This is one of the songs I'd set aside for the session, but budget conspired against and thus this song has been recorded for zero pennies in the comfort of a more affordable farm studio!

The bloody second verse was inspired by the Scouts In Action column in Boy's Life magazine, a childhood fav of mine!
